Why We Built Oomiay
The plated jewelry category has no regulation. Brands can label pieces "18K gold plated" without disclosing how thick the gold actually is. Most $40-$100 pieces use 0.5 microns of gold, or less. Flash plated jewelry can be as thin as 0.05 microns. None of it lasts.
We started Oomiay because we wanted jewelry you could actually wear every day. So we lead with specs, not marketing.
What We Publish That Other Brands Don't
